Events Operations Coordinator

About the Role
Race Coast KZN is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Events Operations Coordinator to support our busy events calendar. Reporting to the Events Operations Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring seamless event execution and maintaining high service standards across all functions.
This role involves coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, supervising casual staff and contractors, maintaining event documentation, and ensuring venue compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, logistics, and execution of all events.
- Support event setup, logistics, and breakdown for race days and external functions.
- Coordinate with suppliers, security, maintenance, and cleaning teams.
- Maintain event documentation and operational checklists.
- Supervise casual staff and contractors on event days.
- Ensure venue compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor event inventory and assist the Stock Controller in requisitions.
- Conduct post-event feedback and support operational reports.
- Perform other reasonable duties as required by management to support operational needs.
Requirements
- Diploma in Events or Hospitality Management.
- 2–3 years’ experience in operational event support.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and handle multiple tasks.
