At DigiOutsource, our multidisciplinary teams are passionate about security and compliance. As an EDD Analyst, you will be the main point of focus for our AML activities, ensuring we meet regulatory requirements by thoroughly understanding our customers’ financial profiles.

Your central mission is to identify and understand a customer’s:

• Source of Wealth (SOW): Where their total assets or funds originated.
• Source of Funds (SOF): Where the money for a specific transaction came from.

Based on this analysis, you will make crucial decisions regarding their ongoing activity in line with responsible gambling and AML regulations.

What You’ll Be Doing: The Core of Due Diligence

Your work will be highly analytical and require direct customer communication, utilizing a variety of internal and external tools.

• EDD Reviews: Undertake comprehensive EDD reviews using open-source material, customer documentation, and data from internal systems.
• Customer Communication: Contact customers via phone and email as per the communications plan to gather necessary SOW/SOF information.
• Monitoring and Action: Monitor and action triggers from Deposit Limit Review Requests and Transaction Monitoring systems to determine when EDD is required. You’ll utilize tools like Tableau and Power BI to conduct reviews and monitor performance.
• Risk Mitigation: Escalate customers who do not meet our affordability and responsible gambling requirements, ensuring compliance and customer safety.
• Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all reviews and interactions within the task management system.

Essential Skills You Bring to the Table

This role has specific requirements due to the markets and sensitive nature of the work.

• Language Fluency: Spanish is your first language with strong written and verbal communication skills. You must also be fluent in English (read, write, and speak).
• AML Experience: A minimum of 12 months experience within an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) environment.
• Regulatory Knowledge: A strong understanding of AML regulations, processes, policies, and procedures.
• Location & Authorization: Must have a valid work/residence permit for Cape Town, South Africa.
• Analytical Prowess: You are inherently analytical and detail-orientated, with excellent information monitoring skills.

Desirable Bonus Skills: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft products and familiarity with Responsible Gambling Knowledge.
