ADvTECH, a leading private education provider in Africa, is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Intersen Phase English Teacher for its Trinityhouse Centurion Preparatory School. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in establishing and extending students’ basic education foundations, guiding them toward the development of abstract thought, and ensuring their successful independent work in the English curriculum.

Key Responsibilities and Performance Areas

The successful candidate will be accountable for the following specific performance areas, demonstrating professionalism and integrity at all times:

• Academic Delivery: Deliver future-focused education that motivates, inspires, and challenges students, fostering strong literacy and communication skills.
• Academic Assessment & Reporting: Oversee thorough and accurate assessment and reporting of student progress in English.
• Student Behaviour Management: Maintain a positive and productive learning environment through effective student management strategies.
• School Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a professional representative of the Trinityhouse and ADvTECH brands, demonstrating strength of character and integrity.
• Administration: Execute all required administrative tasks with efficiency and superior detail orientation.
• Health & Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all students and staff.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Develop and maintain constructive and ongoing partnerships with colleagues, parents, guardians, and the wider community, communicating and collaborating in a positive and respectful manner.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• An undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) AND a PGCE or B. Education (Intermediate, Intersen, or Senior Phase).
• 2-5 years of Teaching Experience in a relevant phase is required.
• Current SACE certification and a valid Police Clearance are mandatory.
• Demonstrated Computer and digital literacy.
• Current First Aid certification is advantageous.
