What You’ll Do

As an Electronic Technician, you’ll be a key part of the team, responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of electrical and electronic systems. You’ll use your expertise to ensure optimal performance and safety, all while collaborating with a talented team of engineers and technicians.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Installation and Maintenance: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic systems, components, and wiring.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting on systems and devices, ensuring quick and effective solutions.
• Technical Compliance: Read and interpret technical diagrams and ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Preventative Care: Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure systems are performing optimally and to extend their lifespan.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other technicians on installations, upgrades, and other projects, maintaining accurate service records and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in electronics and a willingness to embrace a new cultural environment.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience: 3+ years of proven experience as an Electronic Technician.
• Education: A Certificate in Electrical Infrastructure Construction or a Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (Light Current) or a related field.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of electronic systems, circuit boards, and diagnostic tools, along with excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
• Logistics: A valid South African Passport and a willingness to relocate to the Middle East. You must also be fluent in English and have excellent employment references.

Advantageous Courses:

Any courses in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Fault Finding and Diagnostics, Embedded Systems, Networking Basics (CompTIA, Cisco), or Electrical Installation Regulations (SANS 10142) would be a significant advantage.
