In this permanent position, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the entire dispensary operation, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and in full compliance with South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) regulations. You’ll manage staff, maintain optimal stock levels, and provide essential pharmaceutical care to all customers.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a BPharm or equivalent qualification and be registered with the SAPC. You’ll also need to be a registered tutor and have experience supervising staff. While prior management experience is a plus, this role is suitable for a pharmacist with the right mix of technical skills, leadership potential, and a can-do attitude. You should also be proficient with Unisolv, computer literate, and have strong numerical and communication skills.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Leading Your Team: Supervise, manage, and train dispensary and self-medication staff to ensure they work within their scope of practice.
• Ensuring Compliance: Uphold Good Pharmacy Practice rules and regulations at all times.
• Managing Stock: Oversee stock levels, conduct regular checks for expired stock, and prepare for stocktakes.
• Providing Excellent Care: Accurately interpret scripts, process claims with medical aids, and provide clear instructions to patients.
• Maintaining Security: Ensure Schedule 6 medication is securely locked away and its register is diligently maintained.
