We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team in Centurion. This role is not just about crunching numbers; it’s about making a tangible impact on aviation safety, security, and environmental compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Data Analyst, you will be at the forefront of our data-driven approach to aviation oversight. You’ll work with a variety of data, from weather patterns to incident reports, to provide crucial insights that help us make informed decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Compliance Monitoring: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to collect, analyze, and evaluate compliance-related data. You’ll even use the latest technology, including AI, to support business decisions.
• Safety and Security Oversight: Monitor and analyze aviation meteorological data from various sources to identify meaningful patterns and trends. You’ll also analyze data related to aircraft accidents and incidents to establish any connection to weather factors.
• Risk Mitigation: Collect and interpret vast volumes of structured and unstructured data to identify emerging risks and regulatory gaps, helping to enhance our regulatory intelligence and promote trust within the industry.
• Creating Insights: Build dashboards and visualization tools to present complex data to a range of stakeholders, from airlines and service providers to regulators. You’ll also create reports with recommendations for staff and management.
• Enhancing Efficiency: Work with other departments within the SACAA to use data to make our operations more efficient, enhance quality, and improve safety.

Who We’re Looking For

This role requires a skilled analyst who is passionate about using data for a greater purpose. To be successful, you should have:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Data Analytics role.
