About the Role

Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires the committed services of a Customer Consultant for their Paarl Mall store in Paarl. The successful candidate will interact with customers, provide product and service information, and resolve any complaints or concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.


Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric (with at least 60% in English, Afrikaans, and Maths Literacy)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in administration or public relations
  • Strong communication and customer interaction skills
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

  • Qualification in Administration, Customer Service, or Public Relations
  • SAP experience
  • Third additional language

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture data and complete documentation accurately
  • Check and manage card balances, reports, and statements for customers
  • Oversee inventory control of promotional materials and items
  • Ensure accurate transaction processing (TRMS capturing and reporting)
  • Manage stock control and shrinkage
  • Process checkpoint reversals on statements
  • Ensure manual point allocations are submitted to Admin Manager daily
  • Maintain effective communication within customer service and benefits programs
  • Escalate compliments, complaints, and sourcing issues daily
  • Record complaints and compliments in the customer service diary
  • Respond to written and email customer queries promptly
  • Keep management informed of all benefit program details
  • Maintain excellent telephone etiquette and communication
  • Recruit and capture new customers accurately
  • Coordinate and manage in-store events and promotions
  • Provide in-store visibility of benefits program signage and promotions
  • Train store departments on benefits programs and ensure implementation
  • Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and health and safety regulations
