Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Executive to join our Commercial Sales Enterprise Account team. This customer-facing role focuses on empowering organizations on their digital journey by envisioning new possibilities, delivering targeted business outcomes, and driving revenue growth. You will be a key part of our global team, providing strategic and technical deal-based engagement to drive New Commerce Azure Consumption Revenue (ACR) and reduce time to consume and deliver a seamless transition to the new commerce platform.
The Commercial Executive is a trusted advisor who leads the design and execution of the customer’s commercial strategy and negotiation. You will be responsible for ensuring that every deal is compliant and profitable for Microsoft by selling the right commercial solution at the right time. You will generate and grow revenue, lead negotiation strategies, and develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders and peers.
As a seasoned sales and negotiation professional, you are comfortable with conflict and are unafraid to speak at all organizational levels, from senior leaders to procurement teams. With a positive attitude and a passion for working with customers and partners, you will make the best choices for the customer based on their commercial strategic needs. You are a strategic, long-term thinker who can analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. An in-depth and strategic understanding of Microsoft Support, licensing programs, and contracting is essential, but not required. This is a flexible role with the option to work up to 50% from home.
Qualifications
- Required: 7+ years of sales and negotiation experience.
- OR: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing, Finance, Communication, Education (or equivalent) or a related field, and 5+ years of sales and negotiation experience or related work/internship experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Growth: Achieve revenue and business growth for Microsoft while ensuring compliance throughout the sales process.
- Customer Solutions: Understand customer needs, address objections, and tailor commercial solutions to ensure long-term success.
- Deal-making: Lead internal and external sales through commercial constructs and deal-making. Optimize the right level of investment and customization, leveraging price and non-price concessions while achieving on-time renewals.
- Opportunity Maximization: Identify and maximize business opportunities with new offerings, such as Copilot, and strategize to ensure successful deal execution.
- Negotiation Strategy: Collaborate with sales and finance stakeholders to define the negotiation strategy and drive internal alignment on pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Lead Negotiation: Prepare compelling negotiation proposals, articulate the value proposition, and effectively address customer concerns as the lead negotiator.
- Relationship Building: Develop trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders, partners, and internal teams to help customers achieve their business goals and meet Microsoft’s revenue targets.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with peers in other areas to achieve business continuity, balance workload, and share learnings.
