The Opportunity
Virgin Active is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Club V Attendant to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. This role is crucial for delivering an exceptional experience for our youngest members, fulfilling our purpose to make exercise irresistible.
The Club V Attendant is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, hygienic, and stimulating environment for all Club-V members (babies, toddlers, and children). You will be required to actively engage, educate, and entertain children through organized activities while strictly adhering to all operational, safety, and access control procedures.
Key Responsibilities (Your Duties and Responsibilities)
I. Child Engagement and Activity Management

Stimulation & Entertainment: Interact, entertain, educate, and physically stimulate Club-V members through age-appropriate activities.

Activity Execution: Follow the established monthly activity roster and theme, ensuring proactive planning and consistent execution of all programmed activities.

Nurturing Environment: Create a happy, welcoming, and nurturing space, specifically catering to the needs of small toddlers and babies.
II. Safety, Hygiene, and Compliance

Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a safe, hygienic, and clean environment within the Club-V facility at all times.

Emergency Procedures: Be fully informed and adhere to all emergency procedures in a competent and confident fashion.

Operational Standards: Understand and correctly meet all operational standards and requirements, maintaining effective control over the entire Club-V environment.

Incident Reporting: Immediately report any incidents, accidents, or concerns to the Manager On Duty (MOD) and/or the Club-V Co-ordinator.
III. Access Control and Inventory Management

Access Control: Correctly control and manage the electronic access and exit of all members to the facility. Effectively manage the two consecutive hour rule for child attendance.

Card Management: Ensure all access cards are valid and contain all relevant member information.

Stock Control: Correctly control and manage all Club-V stock, including toys, arts & crafts, disposables, cleaning aids, and movement equipment, utilizing the relevant checklists within the Mntwana Box system.
