Hollywoodbets, one of South Africa’s leading brands with operations across Africa and the UK, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (Projects) to provide strategic leadership and financial oversight for all finance-related projects within the Group, with a focus on investment strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight

• Monthly executive reporting and oversight of projects and investments.
• Quarterly board reporting and presentations on projects and investments.
• Design, implement, and oversee financial accounting controls for projects and investments.
• Manage management accounting and information reporting within business units.
• Support CFOs in Gaming, IT, Non-Gaming, Properties, and Racing on strategic projects.
• Conduct project and feasibility assessments for new loan and equity investments.
• Ensure compliance with corporate law, SARB, tax, and BEE structuring.
• Support Group CFO and CEO with strategic initiatives.

People Management

• Supervise and mentor Finance team members.
• Create and maintain job descriptions, KPIs, and annual performance reviews.
• Address disciplinary matters, performance improvement, and staff development.
• Drive talent retention, succession planning, and team-building initiatives.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and recognition programs.

Requirements

• Degree/Honours in Finance.
• 5 years’ experience in a senior financial role (Financial Director, CFO, or similar).
• 5 years’ experience in Investment Strategy, Mergers, and Acquisitions.
• Bonus: Registered CA.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
• Proficient in financial reporting and management.
• Understanding of relevant legislation and professional standards.
• Ability to innovate, mentor, and inspire teams.
