What Does This Role Entail?

As a Centre Manager, you’ll be the central hub for all Centre-related activities. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Management: You’ll stay abreast of market activities and assist in developing a five-year maintenance plan to ensure the Centre’s standards are maintained. You’ll also initiate proposals for refurbishments and manage all ongoing projects.
• Financial Oversight: You’ll be responsible for all financial aspects, including preparing annual budgets, monitoring monthly income and expenses, and managing municipal recoveries. You’ll also oversee all debtors and creditors.
• Tenant & Public Relations: You’ll be the primary point of contact for tenants, handling all correspondence, negotiating new leases, and ensuring vacant spaces are let. You’ll also build and maintain sound public relations to attract people to the Centre.
• Operations & Maintenance: You’ll ensure that all buildings, grounds, and equipment are well-maintained. You will implement regular preventative maintenance programs and ensure strict compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) Act.
• Team Leadership: You’ll effectively supervise Centre personnel, providing leadership, conducting performance appraisals, and ensuring that your team is well-trained and operates at an optimal level.

• Five or more years of related experience, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
