Toys R Us and Babies R Us are iconic international brands, often called the “World’s Greatest Toy Stores.” With over 60 physical stores across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia, plus a new online store, we’re all about bringing joy to families. Our goal is simple: offer an amazing range of products and an unforgettable shopping experience for everyone, from children to grandparents.

We are currently looking for a dynamic and passionate Cashier to join our team at the Hemingways store. If you’re a people person with a knack for sales and great customer service, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

As a Cashier, your main job will be to operate our cash registers, process payments, and help customers with any questions they might have. You’ll be a key part of making sure every customer leaves with a smile.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing amazing customer service that makes a lasting impression.
• Helping customers with their shopping needs and always putting them first.
• Operating cash registers and processing all transactions accurately.
• Promoting and selling goods, including add-on sales and services at the point of sale.
• Making sure the store is clean and well-organized, and that all products are correctly priced and displayed.
• Participating in stock counts and helping to minimize stock loss.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and customer-focused with a can-do attitude. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, sales-driven, and a great team player.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

• A Matric Certificate.
• At least six months of retail experience.
• Reliable transportation to get to and from your shifts.
• Fantastic customer service, numeracy, and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.
