Are you a customer-focused individual with a knack for accuracy and a friendly demeanor? We’re looking for a Cashier to join our team in Cape Town, Western Cape. As a Cashier, you’ll be the face of the company, responsible for the accurate handling of all Point of Sale (POS) transactions. Your role is crucial in ensuring every customer has a smooth and pleasant experience, from the moment they check in to the moment they leave.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Cash Handling: You’ll ensure your float and daily takings are accurate with no discrepancies. You’ll be responsible for handling cash-ups, pick-ups, and ensuring all transactions are processed correctly.
• Customer Service: You’ll offer fast, friendly, and efficient service to all customers. You’ll also be a resource for them, directing them to the right people for assistance and always maintaining a professional appearance.
• Safety & Security: You’ll adhere to all safety and security protocols, ensuring a secure environment for both customers and staff. This includes monitoring passwords at the till point and ensuring the safe transport of cash.
• Administration: You’ll maintain accurate records by signing, compiling, and filing all relevant documentation.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• A Grade 12 certificate or a minimum of 1 year of work-related experience.
• The ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Strong administration skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• The ability to work well under pressure.
