You’ll be working with two of our most innovative platforms: Landbou24, South Africa’s first AI-powered agricultural marketplace, and Landbou.com, our trusted agricultural content platform. This is a unique opportunity to drive growth, identify new opportunities, and create synergies between these two powerful platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Business Development Manager, your main focus will be on three key areas:

• Driving Growth: You’ll identify new revenue streams, build relationships with key stakeholders across the agricultural sector, and lead user acquisition efforts to grow our platforms.
• Strategic Partnerships: You’ll scout for potential acquisition targets and strategic partners, leading negotiations and working closely with our executive team to expand our market reach.
• Enhancing Synergies: You’ll be the bridge between Landbou24 and Landbou.com, creating integrated strategies that leverage the strengths of both platforms to provide a seamless and valuable experience for our users.

You’ll also be a key voice for the company, representing us at industry events, building relationships with agricultural bodies, and contributing to thought leadership in the agritech space.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a Mid-Senior level professional with at least five years of business development experience, ideally in the media, agriculture, technology, or marketplace sectors. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Media Studies, or a related field is a must.

Your deep understanding of South African agricultural value chains, combined with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans, will be essential for success. We’re looking for someone who is results-oriented, a natural at building relationships, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
