The Job At a Glance: Cash Flow, Compliance, and Control

Your primary responsibility is to be the safeguard and strategist for the company’s cash. You will ensure that funds are available when needed and that all banking and accounting processes are accurate, timeous, and compliant.

What You Will Do:

• Strategic Cash Management: Manage group company cash flow, conduct rigorous cash flow analysis and forecasting, and ensure sufficient funds are available for all operational expenses. You will gather daily estimates from various teams (Claims, Creditors, Debtors, etc.) to inform your decisions.
• Investment & Transfers: Make informed investment or disinvestment recommendations for authorization, draft instruction letters, and process essential intercompany transfers.
• Meticulous Accounting: Oversee the daily processing of cashbook transactions, capture critical entries (bank charges, interest, SARS payments), and process Accounts Receivables (unpaid accounts, refunds). You will prepare and review all monthly bank reconciliations (RMA, RML, and Group) for audit approval.
• Banking Administration: Act as the main administrator for the online banking business profile. This includes creating users, linking/closing accounts, managing the bank account signatory mandate, and facilitating the annual renewal of the forex control exchange license.
• Compliance & Risk: Monitor daily cash deposit transactions to ensure adherence to company policy, reporting any amounts above the required limit to the Risk and Compliance team for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) assessment.
• Team Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day management of your team, conduct performance reviews, develop annual KPA’s, and coach staff to encourage their professional development.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

This role demands a highly skilled individual with a blend of technical accounting knowledge, strong analytical ability, and proven team management experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualification: NQF Level 6 – Advanced Diploma in Finance is required (NQF Level 7: Degree in Finance is advantageous).
• Experience: A minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in a dynamic finance environment.
• Key Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
