What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll provide crucial clerical and administrative support to our finance department. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Fixed Asset Administration: You’ll help maintain our fixed assets and prepare income tax schedules.
• Cash Book Management: You’ll be responsible for maintaining cash books for both Rand and CFC accounts and performing monthly bank reconciliations.
• Daily Operations: You’ll handle daily tasks like updating exchange rates, preparing general journals, and managing petty cash.
• Clerical Support: You’ll assist with staff reimbursements, credit card administration, and other ad hoc accounting duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a candidate with a Grade 12 certificate (including Mathematics) and a BCom degree with a major in Accounting. Experience with general ledger entries, cash books, and fixed assets is preferable.

The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in MS Excel and have strong numerical and interpersonal skills. We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, can work both independently and as part of a team, and has a great attitude toward problem-solving.
