What You’ll Be Doing

As an Analytics Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of business intelligence (BI) solutions. You will be a key player in ensuring our analytics are not only insightful but also robust, reliable, and secure.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Solution Development: Continuously developing, building, and supporting BI and analytics solutions and reports that are aligned with our clients’ strategies.
• Optimization & Maintenance: Enhancing and optimizing analytical solutions to ensure long-term performance and continuous improvement.
• Incident Resolution: Diagnosing and resolving incidents and issues, providing crucial support to users and cross-functional teams.
• Standard Implementation: Implementing data and analytics standards and frameworks across the SARB, adhering to best practices like Data Management Association (DAMA), DataOps, DevOps, and MLOps.
• Knowledge Sharing: Training business users on how to use analytical solutions and sharing your technical knowledge with other specialists and product owners.

Is This You?

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive individual with a strong background in data analytics.

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Management/Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 5-8 years of experience in building, optimizing, and enhancing BI solutions.
  • Solid experience with SAS (Base, Enterprise Guide, E-Miner), Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience with other BI tools like MicroStrategy, Oracle OBIEE/OAS, Teradata, T-SQL, Oracle Developer, and Tableau is a must.
• Added Advantages: Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Python or R, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and implementing solutions in Agile or DevSecOps environments is a plus.
• Personal Attributes: You have a strong business acumen, are a great problem solver, and have excellent communication skills. You are a team player with a focus on delivering results and providing exceptional service.
