Emeris, Westville Campus, is inviting applications for Admissions Officers (Fixed-Term Contracts) to assist during the admission and registration period.
Key Responsibilities
Student Application & Admission Administration
- Collaborate with campus teams to manage student admission queries.
- Follow up on missing student information to finalise admissions.
- Evaluate applications against admission criteria and communicate outcomes.
- Liaise with campus teams during admission evaluations and assessments.
- Escalate unresolved queries to the Head: Academic Operations.
- Manage documentation and issue admission letters.
- Verify and maintain accurate student registration information.
- Track and report admission progress to the Head: Academic Operations.
- Ensure compliance with the organisation’s admission service level agreements (SLAs).
- Work with the Finance department on finance-related admission issues.
- Ensure admission compliance across the campus.
Student Registration Administration
- Verify student eligibility and pre-requisites for registration.
- Follow up on outstanding registration documentation.
- Determine maximum completion time and credit load for registered students.
- Ensure compliance with international student documentation and policy.
- Assist students with online and on-campus registration.
- Handle student queries via campus support channels.
- Process module additions and de-registrations through the Assist system.
Ticket Management
- Process admission and registration tickets received via Assist or face-to-face interaction.
Reporting & Compliance
- Comply with POPIA legislation relevant to the Admission Centre.
- Prepare and maintain accurate admission and registration reports.
- Perform other ad hoc administrative and reporting duties as required.
Competencies Required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level).
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail with accuracy under pressure.
- Goal-oriented and deadline-driven.
- Friendly, systematic, and well-organised approach.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- National Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF Level 6) required.
- Advanced Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 7) advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in admissions (preferably within tertiary education).
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
- Alternate Saturdays as required.
