What You’ll Be Doing

As an Accountant, you’ll be a key part of our finance team, responsible for managing day-to-day accounting processes and supporting financial reporting for a variety of clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Bookkeeping & Reporting: Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records and preparing financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Reconciliations: Performing meticulous bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations.
• Payroll & Compliance: Processing payroll and ensuring statutory compliance with all regulations.
• Client Support: Preparing management reports and financial summaries to support our clients’ decision-making, and communicating effectively to resolve queries.
• Process Improvement: Identifying areas to improve efficiency and contributing to our operational excellence.

What We’re Looking For

We need a dedicated professional who is ready to jump in and make an immediate impact. The ideal candidate will have:

• Education: A BCom in Accounting is required.
• Experience: Proven experience working in an accounting firm is essential.
• Language Skills: The ability to speak Afrikaans is a key requirement for this role.
• Technical Skills: You must be fully computer literate, with strong knowledge of MS Office. Familiarity with accounting software like Pastel, Xero, or Sage is an advantage.
• Qualities: You should have a high level of integrity and professionalism, with excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
