About the Role
Meltwater is seeking a results-driven Account Executive to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will lead efforts to secure new business opportunities within the mid-market segment, driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional client experiences. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting Meltwater’s SaaS solutions and fostering long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the mid-market segment
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and persuasive sales presentations
  • Prepare tailored proposals that exceed client expectations
  • Guide clients through the purchasing journey and provide expert advice on solutions and pricing
  • Negotiate contract terms to achieve win-win outcomes
  • Identify upsell opportunities and maintain ownership of accounts to drive ongoing growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and client satisfaction
  • Consistently achieve and surpass sales targets in a results-driven environment

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex value propositions
  • Results-oriented mindset, consistently achieving sales targets
  • Ability to identify upselling opportunities and maintain client relationships
  • Proactive in lead generation and targeted outreach
  • Strong organizational and account management skills
  • Excellent English communication, both written and verbal
  • Legal eligibility to work in South Africa
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid model (3 days in-office weekly)
