Ampath Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to lead transformative technology initiatives that advance the future of healthcare delivery. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects aligned with Ampath’s strategic objectives. Your leadership will drive innovation, collaboration, and excellence across teams—ensuring every project delivers meaningful, measurable impact.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or Business Administration
• Postgraduate qualification (advantageous)
• Project Management certification (industry-recognised)

Experience and Skills

• 8–10 years of proven experience in IT project management, delivering initiatives from concept to completion
• Proficiency with project management tools and both agile and traditional methodologies
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, system development lifecycles, and service management principles
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, coach agile practices, and facilitate collaboration
• Excellent communication in English and Afrikaans, with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic thinking, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and deliver strategic IT projects that align with Ampath’s long-term goals
• Define project objectives, timelines, and budgets, ensuring accountability and transparency
• Coordinate cross-departmental teams to achieve milestones efficiently
• Promote agile practices and continuous improvement across the IT Project Office
• Build capability within teams through mentorship and professional development
• Manage risks, ensure compliance, and uphold the highest standards of quality and service delivery
• Drive transformation by fostering innovation, engagement, and empowered leadership
