About the Role
FNB is looking for a Financial Accountant to provide accounting support to the business unit by monitoring, analysing, and interpreting financial data. The role ensures accurate accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures to support effective business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse, summarise, and account for financial transactions within the business unit.
• Enhance operational efficiency by suggesting cost-effective solutions and preventing wastage.
• Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships to achieve operational objectives.
• Provide recommendations based on customer needs, current trends, and financial information.
• Ensure adherence to FirstRand financial reporting guidelines.
• Approve payments and review reconciliations.
• Execute projects and initiatives aligned with strategic objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
• Support decision-making by collecting, analysing, and reporting financial data.
• Continuously assess performance, seek feedback, and pursue training as needed.
• Foster collaboration through strong internal relationships within the business.

Qualifications & Experience

• BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Knowledge of Financial Management and Management Reporting.
• 1–3 years relevant experience (articles exposure preferred).
