Job Purpose

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for delivering multiple high-quality, strategic systems projects across various business areas. You will ensure that project objectives and business requirements are met while applying robust project management principles from initiation to operational handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple systems projects across business areas, ensuring objectives are met.
• Apply project management principles throughout the project lifecycle.
• Resolve issues effectively and proactively.
• Guide, motivate, and facilitate project teams.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Communicate project progress to management and stakeholders.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Sound understanding of Discovery systems and business environment.
• Strong grasp of project management theory and key practices.
• Ability to quickly understand technical concepts within the business context.
• Multi-tasking across concurrent projects with strategic perspective.
• Ownership, responsibility, and initiative in delivering results.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage teams effectively.

Education and Experience

• Tertiary education (Degree or Diploma preferred).
• 8–10 years’ experience managing corporate projects, including technology-related banking systems.
