We are seeking a Senior Business Project Manager to join our team, reporting to the OMF Senior Manager – Projects, Changes, and Enhancements. This role is accountable for the delivery of Business and IT projects, ensuring quality results on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning

• Oversee production of project plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and governance standards.
• Approve activities and organize workflows to meet program goals.

Project Scope Definition

• Lead requirement gathering, analysis, and stakeholder consultation.
• Negotiate and confirm project deliverables with stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management

• Develop and implement engagement plans.
• Maintain positive relationships and ensure stakeholder input is valued.

Requirements Management

• Identify, analyze, and manage project requirements.
• Coordinate verification of deliverables and maintain alignment with project goals.

Project Risk and Issue Management

• Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints; escalate and implement solutions as needed.

Project Reporting and Review

• Provide accurate progress reports, recommendations, and key updates to stakeholders.

Project Team Management

• Lead small- to medium-sized project teams.
• Coach, mentor, and coordinate team members to ensure delivery of outcomes.

Continuous Improvement

• Review and innovate existing operations to ensure continuous improvement.

Project Resource & Work Allocation

• Negotiate and manage project resources and budgets.
• Develop work schedules and allocate resources effectively.

Project Closeout & Handover

• Document project outcomes, provide training, and capture lessons learned.

Project Assurance

• Conduct and manage assurance reviews to ensure projects meet time, budget, and quality targets.

Personal Capability Building

• Develop professional capabilities through training, coaching, and accreditation.
• Stay updated on technology, regulations, and industry best practices.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualification: 3-year tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree); Postgraduate degree/diploma advantageous.
• Project Management Certifications: PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in Project, Programme, & Portfolio Management.
• 3–5 years experience in a collections environment.
• Experience in Financial Services, Retail Banking, Lending, IT.
• Exposure to Change Management and managing external vendors.
• Strong knowledge of Waterfall & Agile methodologies, IT functional areas, and project software (MS Project, MS Office).
• Budget management experience; debt review and home loan experience advantageous.
• Business analysis experience advantageous.
