Lead Our Workshop Team as a Workshop Foreman!

Are you an experienced tractor technician with a passion for leadership and operational excellence? We’re looking for a Workshop Foreman to oversee and coordinate all technical, administrative, and personnel functions in our workshop — ensuring smooth operations, high-quality service, and exceptional client satisfaction.

Your Key Responsibilities

🔧 Workshop Management

• Initiate new job cards with accurate details.
• Manage daily workshop activities, including orders and customer complaints.
• Provide technical support to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify, initiate, and manage claims processes.
• Conduct ad hoc inspections of vehicles and agricultural machinery.

🤝 Client Relations & Marketing Support

• Contribute to marketing initiatives aligned with the Equipment Marketing strategy through:
  • Client clinics
  • Promotions
  • Inspection programs
• Maintain consistent and effective communication with clients.
• Address customer complaints promptly and professionally.

🧾 Administrative & Financial Oversight

• Prepare and review workshop performance reports.
• Support financial management — including budgeting, technician hours, travel, and sublets.
• Maintain high-quality internal and external communication.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards.

👨‍🏫 Team Leadership & Development

• Schedule and supervise workshop personnel.
• Communicate clear goals and performance expectations.
• Observe and evaluate staff performance, offering constructive feedback.
• Identify growth opportunities and mentor team members to reach their full potential.
• Ensure compliance with relevant labour and safety legislation (BCEA, LRA, OSH Act).

⚙️ Technical Expertise

• Perform service and maintenance on Agri-mechanical equipment as required.
• Maintain required monthly service delivery hours.
• Monitor productivity and ensure work quality meets organizational standards.
• Inspect and sign off completed work by technicians.

What You’ll Need

• National Senior Certificate
• Qualified Tractor Technician certification
• Minimum 2 years of Agri-mechanical experience
