🧾 About the Role
This Administrative Assistant position plays a critical role in supporting our Procurement Department, based at the VKB Distribution Centre in Bethlehem. You’ll be the backbone of the team — ensuring all administrative processes run efficiently, data is accurate, and our communication with suppliers, clients, and internal teams is seamless.
🛠 Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards in procurement-related administration
- Create and update supplier codes and price lists
- Liaise with suppliers, internal teams, and clients to ensure alignment
- Manage invoicing processes and contra account reconciliations
- Monitor stock levels and ensure product availability
- Analyze supplier data to support decision-making
- Process claims from branches and external customers
- Flag and help minimize potential risks
- Offer admin support to the broader procurement team
✅ What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 / NQF4 qualification
- Experience in procurement administration (beneficial)
- Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- High attention to detail and a structured work approach
- A proactive mindset – you like to get things done and improve processes
