Available Scholarships
A maximum of 33 scholarships are available for the 2026/2027 academic year, distributed across the following faculties:
- Faculty of Science: 8
- Faculty of Social Sciences: 8
- Nijmegen School of Management: 6
- Faculty of Arts: 4
- Faculty of Law: 4
- Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies: 3
Note: The scholarship is generally available for all English-taught Master’s programmes, with the exception of Erasmus Mundus and joint-degree Master’s programmes.
Scholarship Value and Coverage
The Radboud Scholarship is a partial scholarship that significantly reduces the financial burden of studying abroad:
- Tuition Reduction: The grant reduces your annual tuition fee to just €2,695 (for the 2026/2027 academic year). Without the scholarship, the fee could be as high as €18,000, depending on the programme.
- Additional Coverage: The scholarship also covers essential costs, including those for your visa, residence permit, health insurance, and liability insurance during your stay in the Netherlands.
- Two-Year Programmes: If you are admitted to a two-year Master’s programme and wish to renew the scholarship for the second year, you must successfully pass all courses in the first year.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Radboud Scholarship, applicants must meet all the following strict criteria:
- You must hold a non-EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for the lower EEA tuition fee for any other reason.
- You must have earned (or will obtain) a Bachelor’s degree achieved outside of the Netherlands, with no previous degrees or education in the Netherlands.
- You must meet the English language proficiency requirement for your chosen Master’s programme.
- You must be fully admitted to the English-taught Master’s degree programme starting 1 September 2026, as confirmed by a formal letter of admission.
- You must be able to comply with all conditions required to obtain a visa for the Netherlands.
- You must enroll at Radboud University as a full-time student for the Master’s programme.
Application Instructions
The application process for the scholarship is integrated into your application for the Master’s programme:
- Apply for Admission: Apply for your desired Master’s programme through the OSIRIS Application system.
- Indicate Interest: During this application process, you must explicitly indicate that you wish to apply for the Radboud Scholarship.
- Upload Documents: You will be prompted to upload three additional required documents: your curriculum vitae (CV) and two reference letters.
- Submission Deadline: The complete application, including all required documents, must be submitted in the online OSIRIS Application system by 31 January 2026, 23:59 CEST.
