Based in Randfontein, you’ll be reporting to the Production Coordinator, taking full responsibility for the machines that drive our production line. This role is crucial for maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency.

What the Role Involves: Precision and Production ⚙️

As a Machine Operator, your daily work will be dynamic, blending hands-on operation with crucial monitoring and maintenance tasks. You are the person who ensures the product is packaged correctly, on time, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation & Quality Control: Set up, operate, and maintain production machinery. You’ll constantly observe machine operations to ensure the quality and conformity of the final product meets our standards.
• Adjustment and Fine-Tuning: Adjust machine components, tension, and pressure as needed. This includes carrying out fine adjustments and fine-tuning after changeovers to maximize efficiency.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: When malfunctions occur, you’ll be the first responder, performing resets, clearing jams, and reporting major issues to your supervisor. You are also responsible for the sanitation of the machine, including CIP (Clean-in-Place) procedures.
• Stock & Inventory: Manage material supply to hoppers, carry out cycle counting and reconciliation, and ensure correct stock rotation (FIFO).
• Compliance & Housekeeping: Ensure all required records are captured, filed daily, and documented in strict accordance with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and safety guidelines. You are also responsible for continuous housekeeping in and around your machine’s area of responsibility.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Matric qualification.
• Skills:
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong Verbal & written communication skills.
  • Punctuality is essential for production schedules.
  • Ability to apply Logical thinking to solve basic problems.
• Knowledge: You must have extensive knowledge of product handling, labelling, and storage practices, along with familiarity with basic math and warehouse management concepts.
