What You’ll Be Doing

As a Service Consultant, your main goal is to meet and exceed client expectations. Your day will be dynamic, combining face-to-face interactions with technology support and operational duties. You will:

  • Educate & Empower: Help clients get comfortable with digital and self-service solutions. You’ll assist them with downloading apps, resolving login issues, and using self-service devices for everything from buying airtime to getting statements.
  • Build Relationships: Meet and greet clients, understand their needs, and provide knowledgeable service that builds mutual trust. You’ll own client requests from start to finish, ensuring their needs are met with care.
  • Handle Transactions: Process cash transactions over the counter, manage branch stock, and ensure the smooth operation of ATMs and other devices.
  • Identify Opportunities: Discover client needs and identify quality sales leads to help them find the right financial solutions without providing advice.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a proactive and adaptable individual with a strong commitment to continuous learning.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: A Diploma is essential, with a Higher Certificate in Banking Services being a plus.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in retail or banking client service, with a background in cash handling and a comfort with technology.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong relationship management abilities, and knowledge of Nedbank’s products and security procedures.
  • Mindset: You must be a natural at building customer loyalty and earning trust. We need someone who can manage their work effectively and stay calm under pressure.
