What Does This Role Entail?

As a Local Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that are critical to our supply chain. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Cost Optimization & Strategy: You’ll be tasked with optimizing material costs for Bus Body, Truck and Bus Chassis, ensuring that our sourcing strategies meet their targets.
• Supplier Management: You’ll build and manage supplier relationships, ensuring their performance aligns with our business divisions. You’ll also manage tenders, RFQs, and RFPs for existing materials.
• Compliance & Policy: You’ll drive our BBBEE supplier base and ensure full compliance. You’ll also be responsible for updating and enforcing our procurement policies and procedures.
• Global Collaboration: You’ll work closely with Buyers in Germany, aligning business cases and presenting them to the MAN Sourcing Committee.
• Problem-Solving: You’ll use your analytical and strategic skills to identify problems and implement effective solutions.

We’re looking for a proactive and results-driven professional with a strong background in sourcing and a knack for working under pressure.

You will be an ideal candidate if you have:

• A Grade 12 / Matric Certificate and a Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
• 1 year of experience with ESA.
• Working knowledge of BBBEE processes.
• Technical experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal relations, and negotiation skills.
