What Does This Role Entail?

As a Data Scientist, you’ll be the architect of our data-driven decisions. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Model Building & Optimization: You will design, build, and implement advanced mathematical models and analytical solutions to address critical business problems and identify new opportunities. Your work will directly lead to reduced costs, increased profitability, and optimized efficiency.
• Strategic Partnership: You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand their needs and translate them into tangible models. Your insights will inform strategic decisions and help departments achieve their operational goals.
• Data-Driven Innovation: You’ll use your expertise to find innovative solutions and build models that capture the evolving complexity of our business. This means regularly auditing and updating models to ensure they remain relevant and accurate.
• Compliance & Ethics: You’ll be a guardian of data integrity, ensuring all your work adheres to strict policies, standards, and governance frameworks. You’ll uphold the highest ethical standards in the use of sensitive information and ensure compliance with all privacy legislation.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: You’ll not only contribute your own expertise but also have the opportunity to guide more junior analysts. You’ll engage in cross-functional relationships, sharing knowledge and building a collaborative environment.

Are You the One?

We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate individual with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis.

You’re an ideal candidate if you have:

• A B Degree in Mathematical Sciences, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Engineering (an Honours degree is preferred).
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SAS is a must.
