Join Our Finance Team: We’re Hiring a Billing Accounting Officer!

At BCX, our Finance team is a key part of the business, ensuring accurate and efficient revenue generation. We’re looking for a motivated and organized individual to help us maintain our high standards and support our customers with excellence.


What You’ll Do: Your Key Responsibilities

As an Accounting Officer in our Billing department, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations. Your role is a blend of data analysis, problem-solving, and customer interaction.

  • Manage Billing Operations: You’ll be responsible for the full billing cycle, from receiving and analyzing requests to calculating tariffs and creating invoices for our external customers based on signed agreements.
  • Ensure Accuracy: You’ll reconcile billed accounts and use validated information to ensure revenue is accurate and complete.
  • Solve Problems: You’ll identify, analyze, and investigate customer queries, liaising with relevant internal teams to find effective solutions.
  • Provide Financial Support: You’ll provide financial consultation and information for contractual purposes and assist with developing and testing system modifications to improve our billing processes.

Who We’re Looking For: Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is analytical, proactive, and committed to delivering results.

  • Minimum Qualifications: A Grade 12 National Diploma (NQF 4) is required. Additional education is preferred.
  • Experience: You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Key Skills: We’re looking for someone with strong computer literacy, data management, and reporting skills. You should also be proficient in accounting and have excellent communication skills.
  • Competencies: You should be an analytical problem-solver who can handle pressure, make quick decisions, and deliver results while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
