What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Project Engineering Professional, you’ll be responsible for the technical integrity and execution of your projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Technical Design: You’ll create and approve engineering design concepts and philosophies for telecommunication projects. You will also provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Project Management: You will create work plans and cost estimates for your projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within quality standards, and at the targeted cost. You’ll also manage project risks and opportunities.
• Client Relations: As the Hitachi Energy technical lead, you’ll interact with customers and other stakeholders, attending project meetings and presenting specific aspects of engineering assignments.
• Supply Chain Collaboration: You’ll work closely with the Supply Chain function to communicate technical requirements and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Compliance: You’ll ensure every project complies with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines, all while living our core values of safety and integrity.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

The ideal candidate for this role is a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in electrical engineering and telecommunications.

• Experience: You should have a proven track record as an engineer and project manager. Experience in Telecommunication Systems, including Fixed Line Fiber and Copper Networks, Wireless Networks, and IP Networking, is required. Knowledge and experience with TDM Network (SDH/PDH) and MPLT-TP is also a must.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. ECSA registration as a candidate or better is required.
• Skills: You must be proficient in both spoken and written English and have a deep understanding of project management principles.
