What You’ll Be Doing

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you’ll be responsible for the accurate and timely administration of invoices within the Creditors department. Your duties will include:

• Invoice Processing: You will process supplier invoices and credit notes with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconciliation: You will match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices to ensure everything is in order.
• Financial Reporting: You’ll assist with month-end closing and other financial reporting tasks.
• Record Keeping: You’ll maintain accurate records and provide support for internal audits.
• Communication: You’ll communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve any issues.

What You’ll Need

The ideal candidate for this role is a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in finance.

• Education: A Grade 12/NQF4 is required.
• Experience: Previous experience in accounts payable or general finance support is a plus.
• Skills: You must have strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Proficiency in MS Excel and good communication skills are also essential.
• Attributes: You should be able to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are key to success in this role.
