Are you a skilled Code 14 driver with a passion for excellent customer service? VKB Group, a major role player in the agricultural industry, is looking for a permanent Driver to join our VKB Milling team at the Empangeni Depot in KwaZulu-Natal.

We need a reliable and responsible team player to ensure our products are delivered to our customers timeously. This is a crucial role in our logistics chain, and it’s perfect for someone who is committed to accuracy and safety.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Driver, you’ll be responsible for more than just getting from point A to point B. You’ll play a key role in our distribution process, ensuring every delivery is handled with care and efficiency. Your duties will include:

• Timely Deliveries: You’ll ensure the timeous delivery of our Super – Sure products, with a strong focus on maintaining and growing volumes through excellent customer service.
• Vehicle Management: You’ll be responsible for daily truck housekeeping and vehicle checklists, ensuring the truck is always neat, clean, and in good condition. You’ll also report any incidents or accidents to management in a timely manner.
• Inventory Control: You’ll monitor the offloading and loading of all stock and crates from the truck, ensuring 100% accuracy.
• Documentation & Teamwork: You’ll manage all documentation, including PODs, fuel slips, and trip sheets. You will also be responsible for the management of your crew on the truck.

What You’ll Need

The ideal candidate for this role is a resilient and organized individual with a strong commitment to compliance.

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of driving experience is essential, along with sound knowledge of sales.
• License: You must have a valid Code 14 license with a PDP.
• Education: A Grade 12 or NQF4 with numerical ability and PC literacy is required.
• Attributes: You must be able to work in a pressurized environment and be flexible with your working hours, as this is a 6-day position that includes weekends and public holidays as per the roster. A clear criminal record is a must.
