AECI Mining is looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Modderfontein, Gauteng. In this pivotal role, you will be the link between product design and scalable manufacturing, ensuring that our products are not only groundbreaking but also efficient and cost-effective to produce.

What You’ll Do: A Role Focused on Innovation and Efficiency

As a Manufacturing Engineer, your primary purpose is to transform new product designs into efficient, high-quality production systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Design for Manufacturing: You will partner with our R&D and design teams to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and efficient assembly.
• Process Development: You will lead the industrialization of new products, developing and implementing manufacturing processes, technologies, and defining equipment requirements from prototyping to production.
• Continuous Improvement: You’ll use lean manufacturing tools and methodologies to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements. This will include performing time studies and process validations to set world-class manufacturing standards.
• Documentation and Collaboration: You will facilitate the development of assembly instructions, testing procedures, and process flows. You will also support root cause analysis to improve quality and reduce waste.

What We’ll Need from You

The ideal candidate is an experienced and highly skilled professional with a deep understanding of manufacturing principles.

• Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering is required. You should have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing transfer or new product introduction (NPI) environment.
• Skills: You must have proven experience with process validation techniques such as PPAP and PFMEA. Hands-on experience with quality and lean tools (PFMEA, SPC, 8D, A3, Kaizen) is also essential.
• Collaboration: You must be comfortable working in cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
