Do you have a passion for safety, a sharp eye for detail, and a knack for problem-solving? Seriti is looking for a dedicated UG Electrician to join our team at the Kriel Colliery in Mpumalanga. This role is crucial to our operations, as you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable function of all our electrical equipment.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an Electrician, you’ll be a vital part of our mine’s operational success. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance & Repair: Performing timely installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Safety First: Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments on equipment to maintain a secure work environment.
- Troubleshooting: Coordinating activities related to troubleshooting and repairing maintenance equipment, and providing hands-on support during breakdowns and shutdowns.
- Teamwork: Working as part of a team and providing training to other personnel when needed.
This is a hands-on role that requires you to be a self-starter who can work effectively under pressure.
What We’re Looking For
To be a great fit for this role, you will need:
- A Recognized Electrical Trade Test Certificate is essential.
- A Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics and Science, along with the required N2 trade-related subjects as per MQA guidelines.
- A valid Code EB driver’s license and the ability to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness.
- Sound knowledge of the MHSA and a proven, excellent safety record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience as a qualified Electrician in a technical services environment, particularly with HT & Cables and medium voltage switchgear, would be a definite advantage.
