What You’ll Be Doing

As the face of our IT support, your main purpose will be to provide exceptional first-line technical assistance. You will:

  • Manage the Service Desk: You’ll be the go-to person for all incoming support requests, whether by phone, email, or our ticketing system. You’ll prioritize and log these requests, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Solve Technical Problems: You’ll provide essential troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues. When a problem is more complex, you’ll be the one to escalate it to higher-level teams and follow up to ensure a quick resolution.
  • Deliver Outstanding Customer Service: Your ability to communicate clearly and professionally will be key. You’ll build strong relationships with users, manage their expectations, and provide timely updates on their queries.
  • Contribute to a Better System: You’ll help improve our helpdesk processes and contribute to our knowledge base, ensuring we have accurate and up-to-date information for everyone.
  • Maintain Security: You will help enforce security policies and report any potential threats, playing a crucial role in keeping our systems safe.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re searching for someone with a solid technical foundation and a strong commitment to service excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A National Higher Certificate in ICT or an equivalent NQF 5 certificate.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an IT Service Desk or IT Administration role.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • A National Diploma in IT.
  • Certifications like ITIL Foundation, A+, or N+.
