Take the Helm: Mr Price is Seeking a Head of Operations in Durban
Are you a seasoned retail leader with a passion for strategy and growth? Mr Price is looking for a Head of Operations to drive our business forward from our headquarters in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Director, with the critical mission of ensuring our operations are efficient, profitable, and aligned with our ambitious growth targets.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in retail operations leadership. You will be responsible for setting the vision, leading the team, and implementing key strategies to optimize every part of the business, from customer experience to profitability.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the operations strategy, ensuring it contributes to company-wide goals.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators and analyze sales and profitability reports to identify opportunities and risks.
- Customer Experience: Lead operations and visual teams to deliver an exceptional in-store experience that reflects the Mr Price brand.
- Growth and Profitability: Identify new store growth opportunities, manage resources to maximize return on investment, and drive initiatives to reduce stock losses and optimize sales.
- Team Development: Lead, inspire, and develop your management teams across all geographical areas to consistently achieve high performance.
What You’re Bringing to the Table
- A relevant Degree or NQF level 6 equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience in a similar senior retail store operations leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of the retail value chain, commercial acumen, and excellent analytical skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
