We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Procurement Specialist – Engineering to join our team in Westville, Durban.

The Role

We’re searching for a Sourcing Specialist with a strong commercial, engineering, and IT background. In this role, you’ll work directly with our Sourcing Manager to strategically source, negotiate, and manage group contracts. Your expertise will be key to increasing contract coverage and spend across the Group, ensuring we get the best value while maintaining high standards.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our National Office in Westville, KwaZulu-Natal.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Strategic Sourcing: You’ll help develop category strategies and sourcing plans, partnering with business units to meet their needs.
• Operational Management: You will source new suppliers and items, research market trends, and present potential savings opportunities to management.
• Market Analysis: You’ll evaluate market conditions to develop effective sourcing strategies and forecast price trends.
• Supplier Management: You’ll negotiate costs and commercial terms, compile Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and monitor supplier performance to maintain positive relationships.
• Technical Expertise: You’ll become a specialist in your assigned category, providing advice on best practices and recommending preferred strategies to the Sourcing Manager.
• SAP Enablement: You’ll ensure all SAP master data related to your procurement category is accurate and up-to-date, including promptly loading new catalogues and suppliers.

Are You the Perfect Fit?

We’re looking for someone who is confident, collaborative, and has a proven track record in a sourcing environment. The ideal candidate will have:

• A Degree in Commerce, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a sourcing and commercial management role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of economic indicators, cost drivers, and project management.
• A valid Code EB driver’s license.
