Become the Welcoming Face of a Premier Shopping Centre: We’re Hiring a Receptionist! 🛍️
Are you a friendly, professional, and highly organized individual with a passion for customer service? Do you thrive on ensuring every visitor and caller feels valued? Broll Property Group is looking for a dedicated Receptionist to join our team at Umlazi Mega City in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal.
This is an entry-level, six-month contract position that puts you at the heart of our operations. You’ll be the first point of contact for our clients, visitors, and staff, playing a crucial role in maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.
What You’ll Be Doing 💼
As the Receptionist, you will be the key to our administrative efficiency. Your main responsibilities will involve managing our communication channels, coordinating meetings, and handling various administrative duties to support the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Switchboard Management: You’ll be responsible for the effective management of the telephone switchboard, ensuring 100% of calls are answered promptly and professionally and routed to the correct person or department.
- Visitor & Customer Service: You’ll greet all visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor, directing them to the correct host and ensuring they have a seamless experience. You will be a problem-solver who handles complaints and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Administrative Support: You will perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties, including managing boardroom bookings, handling courier and post, and assisting with general office tasks.
- Record-Keeping & Reporting: You’ll maintain reception desk registers and provide weekly and monthly statistics on calls, visitors, and courier items.
Who We’re Looking For 🌟
The ideal candidate is a reliable and meticulous individual with a strong commitment to customer service and a knack for administrative tasks.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in reception and switchboard management. Experience as an admin assistant or secretary, including boardroom management, is a strong advantage.
- Education: A Matric (Senior Certificate) and a Certificate in Switchboard and Reception Management.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and a solid understanding of general administration are essential. You must be able to handle a high volume of calls and manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
