Clinix Health Group is looking for a dedicated Ward Clerk to join the team at Botshelong-Empilweni Private Hospital in Vosloorus, Gauteng.
This is a permanent, entry-level position that will put you at the heart of our Accident and Emergency unit. You’ll be a key member of the nursing team, providing essential administrative support that contributes to the smooth operation of the unit and the best possible care for our patients.
What You’ll Be Doing 💼
As a Ward Clerk, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks that are vital to the success of the Accident and Emergency unit. Your work ensures that patient information is accurate, supplies are stocked, and all documentation is in order.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Patient Administration: You’ll maintain the patient register, documenting admissions and discharges and ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date on the SAP system.
- Billing and Coding: You will capture and code all materials, services, and equipment used from charge sheets, including ICD 10 and CPT codes for patient files.
- Stock Control: You’ll assist with cycle counts, manage stock credits to the Pharmacy, and ensure the unit has adequate stock levels of all necessary materials.
- Filing and Documentation: You will establish and maintain an accurate filing system for all patient and audit documents.
Who We’re Looking For 🌟
The ideal candidate is a highly reliable and meticulous individual with a knack for administration and a desire to contribute to the healthcare industry.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of administration experience.
- Education: A NQF 5 / Relevant Nursing Qualification. While a healthcare qualification is an advantage, it is not essential.
- Skills: You must be computer literate with experience using SAP. Experience with stock control and an understanding of ICD 10 and CPT coding is also required.
- Personal Attributes: You should have excellent attention to detail and a commitment to providing the highest level of administrative support.
