What You’ll Be Doing 💼

As our Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of our finance team, responsible for managing the full financial function. Your role is crucial to our success, ensuring our financial transactions are accurate and our reporting is reliable.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Financial Management: You’ll manage the balance sheet and income statement, overseeing the asset register and ensuring all financial transactions are handled with precision.
• Tax Compliance: You’ll be responsible for managing SARS VAT payments and ensuring full compliance with all income tax and other tax regulations.
• Stakeholder Management: You’ll work closely with various stakeholders, building strong relationships and providing relevant financial insights.
• Teamwork & Self-Management: You’ll be a key team player, demonstrating excellent self-management and time-management skills to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.

Who We’re Looking For 🌟

The ideal candidate is a skilled professional with a solid background in accounting and a passion for accuracy. You have a comprehensive understanding of the full financial function, from debtors and creditors to the general ledger.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Education & Experience: A Diploma or Degree (NQF level 7), such as a BCom with articles, is essential. You should also have 2-3 years of related experience post-completion of your articles.
• Essential Skills: You have strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and a customer-service mindset.
• Advantageous: Experience in consultant accounting or outsourced finance work would be a significant advantage.
