Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver with a passion for helping others? Do you have a knack for diagnosing issues and finding the right solutions? Old Mutual is looking for a talented IT Support Specialist to join our team in Cape Town.

This is a hybrid role where you’ll be a key player in ensuring our systems run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be the go-to person for our end-users, providing essential technical support both remotely and in person.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As an IT Support Specialist, you’ll be individually accountable for your results, tackling a range of technical challenges. Your work will directly impact our daily operations, ensuring our teams have the tools they need to succeed.

Your key accountabilities will include:

• Troubleshooting and Support: You will provide advanced technical support for computer hardware and software issues, diagnosing problems, and implementing solutions.
• Systems Analysis: You will assist with basic systems analysis, interpret test plans, and develop technical specifications.
• Testing and Implementation: You’ll play a role in interpreting and executing test plans, as well as assisting with system implementations and disaster recovery tests.
• Mentorship: You may have the opportunity to coach and mentor junior or new staff, sharing your knowledge and experience.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a solid foundation in IT. You’re someone who thrives on solving complex problems and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Experience: At least 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Education: A National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or an equivalent qualification.
• Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of MS CRM, IBM, and ODM Rules Engine. Knowledge of Basic SQL and AWS is also required.
