We’re searching for an Intermediate Java Developer to join our Discovery Health Systems team. This isn’t just about writing code—it’s about building solutions that improve business efficiency, enhance our products, and ultimately provide better service to our clients.

What You’ll Be Doing: Building the Future of Health Tech

As a Java Developer, you’ll be a key part of a team that includes business analysts and system architects. Your role is to understand business needs, design robust system solutions, and implement them with high-quality code.

You’ll be involved in every stage of the system development life cycle, including:

• Coding & Development: You’ll write, test, and maintain high-quality code for new applications and product enhancements.
• System Maintenance: You’ll analyze and troubleshoot existing applications, ensuring they run smoothly.
• Design & Architecture: You’ll contribute to solution design by working with the team to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaboration: You’ll work closely with team members to distinguish between business, functional, and non-functional requirements.

Are You the Developer We’re Looking For?

We need a self-starter who takes ownership and can work with minimal supervision. You should have a knack for problem-solving and a passion for high-quality work.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• A BSc in Computer Science or an equivalent 3-year IT qualification.
• 3+ years of experience with Java 8 source code development, including support and maintenance.
• Deep expertise in SpringBoot Framework and Hibernate.
• Experience with WebLogic and JBoss Application Server.
• Familiarity with presentation layer development (JSP, JavaScript, Angular 6, JQuery).
• Solid understanding of SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, and Web Services.
• Experience with build scripts like Maven and ANT.
• Knowledge of JMS and Tibco EMS.
• Experience with Java Batch Scheduling (Flux, Quartz), Business Rules Management Frameworks, and continuous integration.
• Exposure to DevOps (Atlassian Suite) and Linux.
• Experience with containerization virtual systems (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker).
• Comfort working in an agile methodology environment.
