We’re looking for an Intermediate Business Analyst to join our Health Benefit Solutions team within Discovery Health Systems (DHS). This isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to work on dynamic new projects and product enhancements that will improve business efficiencies and give our clients a better experience.

What You’ll Be Doing: Driving Innovation in Healthcare

As an Intermediate Business Analyst, you’ll be a key player in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You’ll be responsible for understanding the big picture, defining detailed requirements, and documenting them so our implementation teams can bring new ideas to life.

Your day-to-day will be anything but boring. You’ll be:

• Gathering Requirements: Leading workshops and engaging with stakeholders to define project objectives.
• Documenting & Modeling: Creating clear business and functional requirements, and using models like UML to map out processes.
• Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving conflicts, presenting recommendations, and finding ways to improve existing processes.
• Supporting the Project Lifecycle: From helping with user acceptance testing to managing the release and post-release monitoring.
• Mentoring: Providing guidance and support to junior business analysts.

This role requires someone who is not only a fantastic problem-solver but is also technically minded with a solid understanding of development principles.

Do You Have What It Takes?

We’re looking for a highly competent individual with a passion for excellence.

Required skills and experience:

• A Diploma in Business Analysis, a BSc in Information Systems, or an equivalent 3-year IT qualification.
• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Certification in UML and BPMN.
• Experience with PL/SQL, process mapping, and UML modeling.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and time-management skills.
