Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for people and a knack for local government operations? The City of Ekurhuleni is looking for a dedicated HR Officer to join our team. This is a permanent position where you’ll be instrumental in managing key HR functions, from recruitment to benefits administration.

Your Role: Key Responsibilities and Impact

As an HR Officer, you will be the backbone of our Human Resources Department. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure our team is well-supported and our processes are efficient. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing the full recruitment cycle, including selection, placement, and remuneration.
• Handling all personnel administrative duties to ensure a smooth and effective HR service.
• Executing benefits administration to ensure all employees are properly compensated.
• Maintaining the human resources archive system by implementing and updating procedures.
• Ensuring good governance and risk management by adhering to financial processes and the MFMA.
• Upholding the Batho Pele Principles in all customer service interactions.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented HR professional with a strong understanding of local government. We’re looking for someone who can manage multiple tasks efficiently and is committed to maintaining high standards of service.

Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma in HR Management or an equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification.
• 3 years of HR Generalist experience in a local government setting.

What We Offer

This is a permanent position with a competitive basic salary ranging from R470,436 to R645,324 per annum, plus benefits. You will be part of a team that values equity and excellence, contributing to the growth and success of the City of Ekurhuleni.
