Are you a detail-oriented and proactive administrator with a passion for retail and a knack for problem-solving? Pick n Pay is seeking a Butchery Admin Clerk to join our team in Kenilworth, Cape Town. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to provide essential support and ensure the smooth operation of our butchery departments across multiple stores.
What You’ll Do
As the Butchery Admin Clerk, you’ll be the central hub for our butchery departments, handling everything from inventory and data management to compliance and team support. Your work will be crucial in ensuring our butchery operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our world-class standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Administrative and Inventory Coordination: Maintain meticulous records for meat inventory and sales data. You’ll also monitor stock levels across various stores, coordinate with suppliers to place orders, and facilitate timely restocking.
- Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure all butchery departments meet strict health, safety, and hygiene standards. You’ll also monitor compliance with company policies and conduct periodic audits to maintain quality.
- Team and Operational Support: Act as the main point of contact for butchery staff, providing guidance and support. You’ll also assist in planning promotions, managing supplier relationships, and supporting new store openings.
- Data Management and Reporting: Compile and analyze sales data to identify trends and growth opportunities. Your reports will be key in guiding inventory and staffing decisions.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized individual with a proactive mindset and a strong understanding of the retail environment.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: A Matric (Grade 12) and a relevant Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: A keen understanding of the butchery retail environment and customer preferences.
- Attributes: A proactive and problem-solving mindset, strong collaborative skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
