Are you a proactive and dynamic Industrial Engineer with a passion for optimizing supply chains and a drive to solve real-world problems? PEP is looking for a skilled professional to join our team and help shape the future of our supply chain operations. This is a fast-paced, action-packed, and permanent role based at our Central Office in Parow, where your work will have a direct and measurable impact on our business.
The Role: Making a Difference in Our Supply Chain
As an Industrial Engineer, you’ll be immersed in the heart of our operations, spanning everything from shipping and distribution centers (DCs) to transport and retail stores. Your primary focus will be on DC operations, systems, and facility infrastructure. You’ll work closely with a supportive team, but you’ll also be empowered to take ownership of your projects from start to finish.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Project Leadership: You’ll lead supply chain projects and develop robust business cases to justify your recommendations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives, using your expertise to diagnose problems and propose innovative solutions.
- Process Development: Map and develop supply chain processes to enable optimal business and system integration.
- Operational Support: Provide crucial systems support and training, and act as a key liaison between various departments to ensure seamless supply chain support.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for supply chain and a strong drive to improve processes. You should be resourceful, confident, and eager to make an impact.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, with a preference for experience in a warehouse environment.
- An advanced level of computer skills, especially in MS Excel or Google Sheets.
- The willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Experience and Attributes:
- Experience in a retail environment.
- Project Management experience and knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong competencies in problem-solving, decision-making, and communication.
