Are you a highly driven, client-centric professional with a passion for commercial banking? FNB is looking for a dynamic Account Executive to join our team in Bellville. This is an exciting opportunity to strategically manage and grow a portfolio of high-revenue clients and make a significant impact within a leading financial institution.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Account Executive, you will be a key player in managing and expanding a portfolio of clients generating over R150 million in revenue. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth, retaining existing clients, and acquiring new ones in the agricultural sector. You’ll be part of a team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, working to deliver exceptional value to our customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Portfolio Growth & Management: Strategically manage a high-value client portfolio, focusing on both retention and new client acquisition, particularly in the agricultural space.
- Financial Oversight: Provide input into the budgeting process, monitor utilization, and ensure accurate financial documentation and reporting.
- Client Excellence: Build and maintain long-term, trusting relationships with clients, providing them with proactive, innovative, and accurate solutions that exceed their expectations.
- Operational Excellence: Drive opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction by promoting the adoption of digital and self-service options.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to all statutory, legislative, and internal governance requirements, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Strategic Input: Contribute to the development of the business area’s tactical strategy and implement operational plans to achieve business objectives.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a proactive and adaptable professional with a proven track record in commercial banking.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Commercial Banking Experience: 3-5 years of experience in commercial banking within a similar role.
- Credit Expertise: Exposure to credit applications in a commercial environment and a solid understanding of credit management.
- FAIS & RE Qualification: A FAIS-accredited qualification (NQF level 6, 7, etc.) and a RE qualification.
- Sales Acumen: Proven ability to structure deals, acquire new clients, and manage existing relationships.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Experience in dealing with high-level customer queries and providing effective solutions.
